Zombies vs Boys Tevita, Melvin, and Mateo

The sky was tinged with yellowish sky as the sun began to set behind the hills. The moon was full. The stars weren’t shining because the grey clouds were blocking it. The whispering of the wind gave us the goosebumps. We were waiting on the bus at school. Then all of a sudden we heard a horrified scream nearby but none of us cared.

I was bored and there was only six of us left in the bus. Tevita was making jokes, Mateo was talking about his winning game, Lave was  too busy doing origami, Heremaia was annoying the bus driver and Tana was leaning his face on the window. If you want to know about me well I’m just relaxing and kicking back.

When all of a sudden the wheels popped and I was a little worried it was better than waiting for two hours. We all went out to see how it happened and it looked like a blade shot it. Then Tevita said “Yay we can camp in the bus tonight” everyone looked at him and said are you nuts! Mateo says “Look there’s a farm should we go inside and check it out”. Bus driver John said “I’ll check it out you kids stay here. He went to go look and Mateo said “who is he calling kids’.

There was a cornfield on the other side of the narrow road and Heremaia had an idea. He said with a cheeky voice why not look for some corn to eat but I said “No way we have to listen to what bus driver John said” and Heremaia said “Your such a wuss” to me and I said “Shut up” and then we waited and waited but bus driver John never came back from the barn.

Heremaia, Lave and Tana went to go check on him while me Mateo and Tevita waited. After a few minutes we heard Heremaia shout out “Run” in a horrified voice. So we all ran with fear. Heremaia was trying to save us so he stayed back and fight but then he didn’t make he got from the zombies Melvin was shouting NO HERMAIA IS A ZOMBIE!!.

Melvin,Tevita and Mateo were still running with fear. Tevita said to Melvin “I’m too young to die”.  Mateo ran past us and the zombies were right behind him so we sprinted to Mateo as fast as we can. Melvin said to Mateo “What happened”. “I was lost then these zombies came out nowhere and started chasing me” “What happened to your face” said Tevita “A zombie scratched me” replied Mateo “But it was epic how I clotheslined one of them” and they laughed. The only one that survived was Melvin, Mateo and I. The end.

Tevita - Bush writing

One day Melvin and I was planning a trip to the bush to go and explore the nature. Lately afternoon we were thinking about it Melvin said "that we should go"
but I said "nah it’s too dangerous". So we kept thinking and thinking Melvin and I said we should go to our grandpa's house in the bush. We started hiking up the hills going up and down through the creek and these little insects crawling up our sleeves and pants it was disgusting.


It was going to be noon so we started to sprint down to the trees and grass but it was too muddy and sticky Melvin fell down I tried to pick him but I fell with him we screamed for help but no one couldn’t hear us. We tried our plan I said to Melvin pick up the vine and swing it to I will throw it to the top of the tree and it will come to your side ready Melvin I pulled him up as hard as I can got out of the sticky and muddy creek and it was only me left. I told melvin to the same thing but you have to your hardest he did his best and it worked.


We saw a big waterfall just up ahead we ran we jumped in the water cleaning ourselves to look clean and smell good. We dried ourselves and I said to Melvin we should get some sleep It’s getting late we pitch our tent and slept. The next morning we started to hike we saw our grandpa’s house we sprinted and see who be first to see grandpa. We knocked on the door and It’s Me and Melvin we hugged him and said we haven’t seen you for ages. Melvin and I stayed there for 7 weeks it was fun and enjoyable the end.     

Tevita Writing Sample

It was a hot  and sunny day kids playing around Ice cream melting burning feet and lots of people going for a swim. They were jumping of the rocks doing bombs splashing in the water playing volleyball in the water. Blaze was going to do a bomb but then he slipped into water and cracked his head. His mother called the ambulance to take him to the hospital.

His parents came to check on him. Blaze had heaps of bruises on his arms his legs and especially on his head because it was cracked. The Mum was screaming IS HE GOING TO BE ALRIGHT!! she shouted to the doctor.  

“lately afternoon” they came again to check on Blaze. He didn’t feel that good he felt like he was going to die. MY SON IS GOING TO DIE! she was panicking the mum was running around acting stupid she fainted. The computer went BEEEEP and he past away.

Tevita - Joshua Iosefo

YES! I said to myself as Joshua and his family walked into the hall. I was excited to hear his   special speech again. His uniform looked so neat and shiny. Joshua looks like a very smart and nice guy. He goes to a school name Mt Roskill. Joshua is a Prefect in his school.

Joshua Iosefo started saying his speech Brown Brother. It was exciting because he was saying his speech in our school hall. He sounded very confident and loud. Joshua is a half Samoan and half Niue,but he can only say a mihi in chinese. Thank you Joshua Iosefo for coming to our school to say your Brown brother speech.

Olympic Rotation - Tevita

As I was making my way to the hall I said “quietly to myself it had to rain” on a special day. The first rotation was the obstacle course. The small and skinny table was hard to balance on as it wasn’t stable enough it was not strong to hold me. Teams were Matatua vs Te Arawa, Matatua team was coming first, and then the Te Arawa team was catching up. Round 2 shouted Miss Va'afusuaga, as I was versing Mateo I kept losing the ball every time I jumped on to the big black table. I try to sprinted back but mateo was too fast for me and I was too slow.

The  next rotation was singing stars. I was really scared because I didn’t want to sing in front of my team it will be so embarrassing. Kevin got chosen to chose the song on a Playstation, and we had 50 points. Mr garth jacobsen said who want’s to stand up for themselves and sing Kevin got up and sang we got another 50 points.
