Melvin and Tevita - Weightlifter

As the crowd was going wild Mckenzie had a smile of joy and muscles of confident.
The Weightlifter Precious Mckenzie was a athletic ability that was  first recognised at the age of 11. 





He had a Catholic mission with father Franklin and coached and trained him in gymnastics.
Mckenzie went back to his mother in Pietermaritzburg at the age 17. Precious also worked at a nearby shoe factory.







In 1958 he won the national Bantamweight weightlifting title. But for some reason he wasn’t chosen for the olympic games because his skin colour. Precious started training  and competing other countries.
