Tevita - Math work

Tessa has bought 40 mini chocolate bars to put in goodie bags at her party. She has 8 goodie bags. How many does she need to put in each? 40 DIVIDED BY 8 = 5

Tevita - Math work

There were 225 people at the movies then 8 had to leave. How many were left? 225 - 8 = 217

There were 55 cards shared out between 5 friend's you put 5 or 10 in each box first and they will have 27. 5 cards each.

1. 64 - 8 = 56
64 - 4 = 60
60 - 5 = 56

2. 72- 9 = 63
72- 2 = 70
70 - 7 = 63

3. 41 - 6 = 45
41 - 1 = 40
40 - 5 = 45

4. 268 - 124 = 4
200 - 100 = 100
60 - 20 = 40
8 - 4 = 4

5. 72 - 56 = 76
56 + 76 = 72
you jump 4 to get up to 60 and then jump 72 and that will be up to 72. Then you add it altogether 72 + 4 = 76

6. The shop is selling jandals for $9 a pair.  They have sold $486 worth of jandals so far. How many pairs have they sold?

9 x 50 =

450 + 9 x 4 = 36 = 486 that equal 54 jandals sold.
